 What’s New for the 2022 Maserati Ghibli?

The Ghibli is a prestigious sedan that kicks off Maserati’s sedan lineup. It has been a desirable option among luxury-minded auto shoppers in Charlottesville since its debut in 2014. Since then, Maserati has introduced some updates to the Ghibli, and this luxury sedan sees a streamlined lineup for the 2022 model. The changes mean all-wheel drive is now offered on only one Ghibli model, and new standard features include lane-keeping assistance and adaptive cruise control. The Ghibli continues to have sleek yet powerful exterior styling. This is brought to life vividly through the strong arch through the hood and the confident roll over the roof. The front end has an aggressive look with an expansive, black grille and beaming triangular headlights. The sides have momentum-inspired contours, solid accentuation over the fenders, and a segmented air vent.

Three powertrains are available in the 2022 Ghibli across its three trim levels. The GT trim comes with a 345-horsepower, V6, turbo 3.0-liter engine. In the middle of the trim line, the Modena comes with a sport-tuned version of that powertrain that produces 424 horsepower. The Ghibli Trofeo receives 580 horsepower from its V8, turbo 3.8-liter engine. These powertrains all have rear-wheel drive with an eight-speed auto transmission, and all-wheel drive is a possibility with the Trofeo.

As a premium luxury sedan that exudes the class of fine Italian engineering, the 2022 Ghibli leaves no room for disappointment in its decked-out cabin. Even the base trim level has soft-close doors, a wireless charging station, a push-button ignition, a two-zone climate control system, leather material, and heated front seats. Standard tech at this trim level includes blind-spot intervention, a 10.1-inch infotainment system screen, auto emergency braking, smart device integration, and more. Upper Ghibli trims give you a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, carbon-fiber interior trim, paddle shifters, and other items.
