Maserati Announces Electric Vehicle Plans

The Maserati electric vehicle range will be branded Maserati Folgore. Folgore is the Italian word for lightning.

Maserati Electric Vehicle Models

Maserati GranTurismo Folgore EV

The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore will be an all-electric coupe sports car. It’s expected to launch in 2023 as a 2024 model year. Per Maserati, the GranTurismo Folgore will offer a massive 1,200 horsepower and hit 60 miles per hour in under 3 seconds. In order to hit those numbers, the GranTurismo Folgore EV will make use of three electric motors.

Maserati Grecale Folgore EV

The Maserati Grecale Folgore is currently planned to launch as a 2024 model, and it will be Maserati’s first-ever all-electric SUV. Maserati has announced the Grecale Folgore will make use of 400V technology. The Grecale will sit below the larger midsize Levante in the brand’s lineup.

Other Maserati Electric Vehicles Planned

Maserati intends to have an all-electric version of each model by 2025, and their goal is to have an all-electric lineup by 2030. Drivers can expect electric vehicle models for the MC20 super sports car, the new Quattroporte sport sedan, and the all-new full-size Levante by 2025. Maserati aims to stop producing vehicles with gasoline engines altogether by 2030.
